Tafna is a town located on Provincial Route 5, to the west of the city of La Quiaca, about 20 km, consolidated dirt road, at an altitude of 3,500 meters above sea level. The name Tafna, according to the natives, can have two possibilities: «meeting of the original communities», since it was the place of exchange of products or in memory of the first chief of the area. Here is the school 364 that consists of Kindergarten and primary education. We come to the school with material donations, which include clothing, footwear, school supplies, medicine, and non-perishable food. They receive annual visits from doctors and dentists from the Santa Clara Civil Association with whom we share a solidarity-humanitarian project in border schools and native communities.
